Camp Director, Beyond Volleyball Day Camp

Coach Padroff brings a rich background in playing and coaching, along with a deep passion for the game to her role as Volleyball Day Camp Director. 

Kayla’s journey in volleyball began with remarkable success at Southington High School, where she made a championship appearance in the Class LL Championship. Her prowess on the court caught the attention of Cheshire Academy, where she transferred and played a pivotal role in the program’s growth. Under her leadership, the team made two championship appearances and secured the conference title n 2013. Kayla’s exceptional skills were recognized as she earned the title of Most Valuable Player during her senior season, anchoring the team’s defense as the starting libero since her sophomore year.

Continuing her athletic career at the collegiate level, Kayla attended Simmons College, where she showcased her talents in both volleyball and softball for one season before transferring to Springfield College. While focusing primarily on softball at Springfield, Kayla’s volleyball coaching journey began as she took on her first assistant coaching role at Wilbraham and Monson Academy during her sophomore and junior seasons.

Upon graduating from Springfield College in 2018, Kayla returned to her alma mater, Cheshire Academy, as the varsity assistant volleyball coach, laying the groundwork for her future coaching endeavors. Her passion for building programs led her to Kent School, where she served as the inaugural varsity head coach, igniting a legacy of success that would continue throughout her coaching career.

Kayla’s coaching acumen was furthered during her tenure at Loomis Chaffee, where she served as assistant varsity head coach for the Class A championship program. In the summer of 2022, Kayla had the honor of coaching the USA Macabiah 16U and 18U volleyball teams to gold medals as assistant coach, showcasing her expertise on the international stage.

Coach Padroff has returned to her roots at Cheshire Academy as the current Varsity Head Volleyball Coach, determined to restore the program to its championship caliber. As Director of Beyond Volleyball Day Camp Summer 2024, Kayla is poised to inspire and empower the next generation of volleyball players, fostering a love for the game and nurturing talent as they reach new heights on and off the court.
